The Full size: The Liverpool twin screw class were a more powerful development of the earlier design of the boat. Apart from the twin props housed in the scalloped tunnels and a slight difference in windscreen shape, the two classes looked identical. The class continued to be built until 1954 with the final boat Chieftain being withdrawn from service in 1982. The design was superseded by the Rother class at the same time.
