Victory Models

A series of exact scale plank on frame kits from the joint collaboration between Euromodels and Amati.
The models make extensive use of lasercutting for all the wood sheets. The fittings include brass and cast metal weaponry, wooden blocks & deadeyes, pre-cut wooden gratings, various sizes of thread for the rigging, cast metal decoration and photo-etched brass sheets complete the model. The well drawn plans and instructions will assist you throughout the whole construction process.

Lady Nelson - Cutter - XVIII Century 1:64 Scale

The Cutter Lady Nelson is modelled on a typical British cutter of the late eighteenth, early nineteenth century.
The cutter is a native British design and was developed originally by the smugglers of Folkestone and surrounding areas. It did not take long for the Navy to appreciate the merits of the cutter’s design and were employed in the Navy from the middle of the eighteenth century to counter the smugglers.

HM Bomb Vessel Granado 1:64 Scale

The Bomb Vessel Granado was ordered on 14th September 1741 and the contract was given to the Ipswich shipbuilder John Barnard. Launched on 22nd June 1742. Her construction work was overseen by the great Navel surveyor and architect Thomas Slade who later designed Nelson's Victory.

HMS Fly 1776 1:64 Scale

The H.M.S. Fly was the fifth of the Swan Class of ship rigged sloop, of 25 vessels built from 1766 to 1780.
Fly, as with the entire Swan class was designed by Williams and her construction was ordered by the Admiralty on 1st August 1775 to be built at Sheerness Dockyard. The keel was laid in January 1776 and launched on 14th September 1776.

HMS Pegasus 1776 1:64 Scale

HMS Vanguard 1787 74 Gun Ship 1:72 Scale

Amati and Euromodels are proud to present the next kit in the Victory Models range, HMS Vanguard. This 74 gun Ship Of The Line was Nelson’s Flagship at the famous Battle Of The Nile on 1st/2nd August 1798. Nelson's Vanguard was designed by Slade (of Victory fame) and was one of fourteen 3rd rate 74 gun ships which formed the Arrogant class. The ship was ordered on 9th December 1779 and the keel laid down at Deptford on 16th October 1782. During this time, Britain was not at war so her build went ahead very slowly, being launched on 6th March 1787.

The Russian 20 gun brig Mercury was laid down in Sevastopol on January 28, 1819. She was designed as a patrol ship to guard the Northern Caucasus coast. Built of Crimean oak, with a shallow draught and equipped with oars, the Mercury was launched on 7 May 1820 and broken up on November 9, 1857.
