Graupner Hydro Propulsion System (1781)

 Fully assembled. The deflection of the unit should not exceed 10-15º at high speed. The shaft with sterntube which transmits the motive power to the HYDRO drive is lead out at the transom of the boat. An adjustable arm incorporated between the main member and the mounting bracket permits adjusting the angle of the driving shaft for top speed conditions.Electric motors of up to 200 watt or combustion engines of up to2 cm3 displacement are suitable for installation.  Completely assembled. The unit is designed to handle electric motors or combustion engines having an output of up to 1 kW. Equipped with a hi-performance marine propeller of the new series this unit can be operated with the prop semi-submerged as well as fully submerged. When the boat is travelling at high speed its deflection angle must not exceed 20º. The inclination of the prop shaft may be altered and the thrustangle adapted for optimum planing attitude of the boat and maximum speed. Dimensions (nom.)
