Panart Model Boat Kits

Panart kits are a brand from Mantua Models. The range includes not only period ships, but more modern vessels and also a selection of open ship boats. The models themselves are superb quality and certainly rate amongst the best within their class. All of the main ply sections, frames keel etc. are laser cut to ensure accuracy. The hulls are double planked with pre-cut keels and frames. Hull planking usually consists of walnut and balsa or lime. The fittings supplied are made from various materials, including brass, walnut, boxwood. The decoration can be either laser engraved wood, cast metal and/or photoetched brass. The castings are formed using the lost wax process to ensure a very detailed finish. Comprehensive plan sheets and build instructions are included. Venus R/C Sailing Yacht

 Panart's Venus is a semi-scale model of a modern high-speed ocean-going sailing boat with sporting pretensions. The model's outstanding features are its characteristically elegant appearance combined with simple construction.
Even in light winds the boat is capable of astonishing speeds, although it can also be sailed in moderate breezes. This performance is due to the modern hull design, the highly efficient keel form with its low-set lead ballast, and the strong but super-lightweight rig.
