Krick Static Display

Excellent quality static display kits from this German company. Hulls are double planked, with pre cut keels and frames. The decks and superstructure are pre cut. The kits come complete with all fittings, plans and English building instructions.

Gulnara

Krick Gulnara
Built in 1834 in England and coming into service for the Sardinian navy in 1835, the Gulnara is a typical example of the transformation from sailing ship to steamer. As observation, escort and passenger ship, the Gulnara served Sardinia until 1861. She was then taken over by the Italian navy.
The Gulnara was fitted with an oscillating steam engine made by the company Fawcett & Preston, Liverpool. When under sail, a section of the paddles could be folded back to reduce resistance.

Karl & Marie German Freight Boat

Krick Karl & Marie
The Karl & Marie is a typical German freight boat, which were built from the 18th century for use in the East Sea. This type of boat is called the Galeasses, but was nothing to do with the Mediterranean Galeasses. The wide hull allows for a large cargo and was extremely stable but not very fast.
