At the beginning of the 19th century in America, numerous vessels with racy lines were been built. They were very fast and easy to head: the famous clippers of Baltimore. They were either used as coastguard vessels, dealing with smugglers and pirates, or used as escort vessels and troopships.

The Mamoli Newport kit features the following:
A Double planked hull construction using Lime and Walnut strips, pre cut frames and keel, deck planked in tanganyika, fittings made from brass, walnut, boxwood, and beech, wooden masts and spars, brass cannon barrels, rigging cord and silk flags. Full size plan sheets and a multi language instruction manual.
