Mamoli L'Orenoque French Frigate 1848 1:100 Scale

L'Orenoque was one of the first French frigates with mixed propulsion, sail-steam, built in 1848. She displaced 2,568 tons. Although she was provided with a mechanical propulsion advanced in concept, she kept the typical masting of the frigates of that time. Scarcely armed, she was mainly used to transport troops. The richness of the superstructures, reproduced with refined performance and faithful scale, the characteristic paddle-wheels and the classic masting give the model a new and original look.

The Mamoli L'Orenoque kit features the following:
A Double planked hull construction using Lime and Walnut strips, pre cut frames and keel, deck planked in tanganyika, fittings made from brass, walnut, boxwood, and beech, wooden masts and spars, cast metal paddlewheels, cast stern and quarter galleries, rigging cord and silk flags. Full size plan sheets and a multi language instruction manual.
