Constructo Model Kits

Constructo a well known company from Spain were founded in 1942, and were a pioneer in their field. The kits now incorporate laser cut technology which makes building and assembly fairly straightforward.
All kits from Constructo use various different types of exotic wood and are complete with fittings in brass, cast, metal, walnut & boxwood. Detailed building instructions and plans are included with each model. The Atlantis Series feature Plank on Frame Construction whereas the Universal Series models feature pre-constructed hulls to simplify building.

The H.M.S. Victory participated under the control of Admiral Nelson in the Battle of Trafalgar on October 21, 1805 when the English defeated the French-Spanish fleet. The Victory was heavily armed with 104 cannons. It had a crew of 850 men. This vessel is totally restored, and anchored in the harbour of Portsmouth and now serves as a museum.

A Brigantine sailing ship of about 40 m in length, two-masted and square rigged. These ships were much in use during the 18th and 19th century as merchant ships and light warships and served very well as coast guards for shorter trips. Most of them were privateers. Merchant ships which had been armed and equipped as vessels of war by particular merchants, were furnished with state commissions to cruise against and antagonize the enemy by taking, sinking or burning their ships.
